3mm x 1mm N52 Round Magnets — “SprueDude Spec”
Dial-in swappable weapons, safe transport, and click-perfect basing. These 3×1mm discs are cut to fit the magnet wells in Wargames Atlantic Dual-Use Bases—drop one in the base and one in your tray or storage, and your minis won’t flop around anymore.

Why these magnets?
-
Right size, right fit: Designed around the 3×1mm recess molded into WGA’s Dual-Use Bases, so you don’t have to guess or re-drill.
-
N52 grade punch: Strongest commonly available neodymium grade, perfect for weapon swaps, backpacks, banners, and basing without needing bulky magnets.
-
Hobby-proven gluing: Bonds great with thin CA (super glue) on clean, scuffed surfaces; use epoxy when you need gap-fill or extra toughness. (Pro tip: lightly cross-hatch the magnet face before gluing.)
-
Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni) plated: The standard hobby coating for corrosion resistance and smooth seating in plastic.
Use cases
-
Interchangeable weapons & loadouts: Arms, backpacks, shoulder options, vehicle turrets.
-
Basing & movement trays: Pair base magnets with metal trays or magnet-catch recesses for rock-solid unit movement and transport. (WGA’s own trays (coming soon!) are built around 3×1mm magnets.)
-
Storage & travel: Stick to toolboxes, cookie sheets, or magnetic shelves without foam-cut chaos.
Quick how-to (30-second install)
-
Drill or seat: Most plastic parts take a 3 mm bit (⅛") for a flush pocket; WGA bases already have the recess.
-
Prep: Degrease the magnet, then lightly scuff the gluing face.
-
Polarity check: Stack a few, mark one face with a sharpie, and keep that “mark-to-mark” across all parts to avoid the dreaded repel situation.
-
Glue: A drop of thin CA for tight fits; 5-minute epoxy if the pocket is loose or you want extra abuse resistance.

Safety notes
Neodymium magnets snap together fast—keep away from electronics, kids, and wandering hobby knives. Don’t heat-cure near them; above ~80 °C they can lose strength.
SprueDude Tip: Grab a stack—once you start magnetizing, you’ll end up doing every arm, banner, and turret you own. (Your future self says thanks.)
