Horse archers were the backbone of Islamic armies throughout the medieval period and the dominant troop type during the Crusades.
This plastic sprue depicts Seljuk and Turkoman horse archers, featuring a wide variety of head options that reflect the diverse warriors drawn from across the Islamic world. Turkoman tribes fought in vast numbers as auxiliaries within Seljuk and other Islamic forces, famed for their mastery of mounted archery and fluid battlefield tactics.
This set contains:
4 x Horse Archers and mounts
Mix of both Sejuk & Turkoman heads
Wide variety of bow arm poses, including left arm poses
Mix of shields that can be both applied to arms or hanging off horse saddle
Standard bearer options and drawn swords
Arrow quivers and bow cases
Perfect support for your Islamic Cavalry and Infantry.
Originally wanted this just for the heads, then I realized how many great accessories are included. As a huge bonus, they fit perfectly on my camels. The horses are also larger than the tiny ones from the ancients line, so they might even see service as light cavalry alongside my 32mm models.

I like the look of these models, they come out very cleanly and well designed. I had no issues with assembly and the sculpt posing is exactly what I expected and wanted. Off to buy more when they're in stock!!

Loving these models so far...
Great sculpts for kitbashing. They fit in perfectly with the 3d printable files for these sculpts that WGA released years ago, and can easily be combined with other WWII kits. Vive la France!
