Samurai Wars Warrior Monks Sprue Set SWM001

I bought this sprue of Fireforge Games Sohei Monks for skirmish wargames like Modiphius Five Leagues From The Borderlands, In Her Majesty’s Name, or Mordheim. But with a little kitbashing and conversion work, they’d make some great figures for post-apocalyptic and sci-fi games.

Get both sprues for matching arms.

For matching arms be sure you pick up both A and B sprue.

Very cool stuff and Spruedude was the only place I found the kit. Way to go Spruedude! Great store!

This was my first FireForge plastic kit and sadly I wasa bit disappointed.

The plastic is on the softer side, the details aren't crisp, and the mold lines were annoying. The pieces also were hard to line up (neck holes were shallow, it was hard to center the torso on the legs, the arms were difficult to fit against the torso, the separate leg on the kneeling pose was a nightmare).

That being said, if you can struggle through assembly & clean-up, they look pretty good painted and again, the price per sprue is reasonable. I can't think of anyone else making multi-piece plastic Sohei and you do get an interesting assortment of bits on the sprue.
