🧩 A Kitbash-Friendly System
TNT is built for customizers. Players regularly import models from Fallout‑style kits, Stargrave, or scratch built models. The factions are intentionally broad—Mutants, Raiders, Caravanners, Peacekeepers, Tribals, Preservers—so you can plug in any models you already have or build new warbands from a mix of ranges.
🧠 Mini‑Agnostic Design
There’s no need to buy specific miniatures to play This Is Not a Test. The game is designed with flexibility in mind, making it easy to bring in models from other ranges or use your existing collection. Whether you’re a kitbasher or an STL enthusiast, you can build a warband straight from your bits box and get right into the action.
This Is Not a Test thrives on its kitbash potential. Every faction is wide open to interpretation, encouraging players to raid their bits bins and build something truly unique. For example, Mutants can be a chaotic blend of post-apocalyptic junkers, animal hybrids, or Fallout-style ghouls. A few headswaps and weird arms from the WA Weird War Conversion set will turn a basic human into something grotesque . Raiders are perfect for Mad Max or Necromunda-style conversions—add spikes, scavenged armor, or gas masks to basic infantry bodies and you’re there also Stargrave Scavengers are a perfect match. Caravanners, with their balance of grit and civility, look great when combining modern civilian bodies, like the WA French Resistance, with military bits. Want a tribal aesthetic? The Tribal faction blends pre- and post-collapse culture—ideal for mixing fantasy barbarians with survivalist gear, start with the Frostgrave Tribals. Preservers and Peacekeepers, representing the remnants of old-world authority, are perfect homes for military, SWAT, or hazmat figure kits. Lot's of options for these cats, Stargrave Troopers or OohRah are top picks.
With just 3–4 sprues, you’ve got more than enough to create 7–10 unique models, including your leader, elites, and some rank-and-file. Don’t forget to customize with loot, bags, and scrap armor—TNT rewards creativity both on the table and in the build.
